ENTSO-E published an appendix to the System Operation Agreement detailing joint operation arrangements for the Konti-Skan 1 and 2 DC links between western Denmark (DK1) and Sweden (SE3), specifying that operation monitoring and control are carried out from Energinet’s control centres at Erritsø or Vester Hassing and Svenska kraftnät’s operations centre at Sundbyberg, with Konti-Skan 1 and 2 normally operated in bipolar mode but each capable of monopolar operation. This document formalises operational rules for the existing Konti-Skan 1 pole as part of the binational interconnector.
