In 2008, the renovated thyristor-based converter stations for Konti-Skan 1 at Vester Hassing (Denmark) and Lindome (Sweden) were commissioned, replacing the ageing mercury-arc equipment and increasing Konti-Skan 1’s rated monopolar capacity to 370 MW.
