By July 2008, the statutory FEPA ornithological monitoring programme for Kentish Flats—covering baseline, construction and three years of post-construction surveys—had been completed, with Environmentally Sustainable Systems’ final monitoring report accepted by Natural England and the Marine Fisheries Agency, ending the requirement for further statutory bird monitoring at the site.
