Copenhagen Harbour 132kV Cable | HVAC | 132.0 kV | 3 parallel cables | Total subsea route length 10.0 km between Amager Power Plant and Svanemølle substation
Tekmar Energy Limited was contracted by Hellenic Cables to provide subsea cable protection hardware for the KBH02 “København02” submarine cable project in Denmark. Under the contract, Tekmar Energy will design, manufacture and supply bend restrictors to protect the 145 kV submarine cable system that connects the Amager waste‑to‑energy power plant to the Svanemølle substation in Copenhagen harbour. The bend restrictors will be produced at Tekmar’s Newton Aycliffe facility in North East England and delivered in the third quarter of 2021. Tekmar’s scope focuses on engineering and fabrication of the protection components, which are integrated with Hellenic Cables’ high‑voltage cable system to ensure mechanical integrity at critical interfaces along the subsea route.
