Copenhagen Harbour 132kV Cable | HVAC | 132.0 kV | 3 parallel cables | Total subsea route length 10.0 km between Amager Power Plant and Svanemølle substation
Hellenic Cables, a Cenergy Holdings subsidiary, was awarded a contract by Denmark’s transmission system operator Energinet for the KBH02 “København02” project in Copenhagen harbour. The company is responsible for the complete supply of a 145 kV submarine cable system connecting Amager Power Plant (AMV) to Svanemølle substation (SMK), replacing the existing 132 kV sea cable as part of a reinforcement of Copenhagen’s electricity grid. The scope includes design, manufacturing, supply and transportation of about 11 km of 145 kV XLPE‑insulated submarine power cables, together with related accessories and supervision services. The work supports the harbour redevelopment and future artificial islands by ensuring higher‑capacity transmission into the city. Energinet’s earlier tender documentation indicated an estimated contract value of around EUR 8 million excluding VAT for this cable system.
