155kV export cable pull-in / AC Submarine Cables pull in operations on Kaskasi II OWP Offshore Substation and HVDC Offshore Substation Helwin Beta
Correll Group (Electrical Engineering Division) was contracted by the offshore installation company Asso.subsea to execute AC submarine cable pull-in operations on the Kaskasi II offshore substation and on TenneT’s HVDC offshore substation HelWin beta as part of the AC grid connection system. Correll Group’s scope included pre-project meetings, creation of RAMS, export cable pull-in between the two offshore platforms, installation of pull-in quadrants, tone generation testing, and post-lay testing (including continuity, insulation resistance, TDR and OTDR), culminating in an inspection and test plan for the installed and tested system. The work was stated to be on behalf of end client TenneT Offshore GmbH and was carried out in 2022 (with offshore activities described as April–May 2022).
