CS WIND Offshore company Bladt Industries began manufacturing foundations for the 342 MW Kaskasi offshore wind farm in Germany in the third quarter of 2020. Under a contract from RWE (innogy SE), Bladt was responsible for producing 39 monopiles, 38 transition pieces and a specially designed transition piece for the offshore substation. The company was heavily involved in optimising the feasible fabrication design during the final construction process and then commenced production of these steel foundation components at its facilities in Q3 2020, marking the start of the project’s foundation manufacturing campaign ahead of later load-out and installation offshore.
