RWE engaged DEME Offshore to provide additional installation support at the 342 MW Kaskasi offshore wind farm, with DEME responsible for installing the majority of the 39 monopiles (including the substation foundation), all transition pieces, the wind turbines and the inter-array cables. DEME mobilised its DP2 installation vessel Neptune together with the jack-up Blue Tern for tandem monopile transport and installation, and lined up the Sea Challenger for transition piece and turbine installation, while also planning to lay and bury all 42 inter-array cables using the Living Stone.
