On 1 May 2023, Presidential Decision No. 7189 was published in the Official Gazette, setting the YEKDEM support scheme for offshore wind plants in Türkiye that hold YEK certificates and enter operation between 1 July 2021 and 31 December 2030. The decision establishes a base feed-in tariff of 67.5 USD/MWh, a cap of 82.5 USD/MWh, a local content premium of 87.5 TRY/MWh, and defines a 10-year YEKDEM support period plus a 5-year local content premium period, creating the national revenue support framework that future offshore wind projects in declared offshore YEKA areas such as the Karabiga zone can use.
