On 24 July 2023, a floating LiDAR buoy equipped with autonomous remote‑sensing devices was deployed off the coast of Brindisi to support the design and development of the Kailia Energia and Lupiae Maris floating offshore wind farms, where it will remain for at least 12 months to collect detailed wind, weather and wave data for the project areas.
