In the pre‑feasibility and preliminary design work completed by 23 August 2021, Kailia Energia and its consultant SENER mapped key constraints for the Brindisi offshore site, considering environmental sensitivities, seabed conditions, water depths generally between 50 m and 200 m, distance from the coast, and available nodes on Terna’s transmission network in order to minimise or avoid areas of major interference.
