JD-Contractor A/S completed the marine replacement and relocation of a 12 kV submarine transmission cable between Fur and Branden in the Limfjord, Denmark, following port expansion works on Fur. After route planning, survey, recovery and disposal of the old cable, and installation and burial of a new 3 x 150 PEX-AL 12 kV submarine cable using near-coastal vessels S/B Victor and M/S Honte, all tasks were finished and the cable was handed over to owner EnergiMidt on 7 April 2015.
JD-Contractor A/S began marine installation of a new 12 kV submarine transmission cable between Fur and Branden in the Limfjord on 27 March 2015, replacing and relocating one of the old transmission cables to the island of Fur after a planned directional drilling solution was abandoned due to challenging ground conditions. The work scope included route planning and survey, recovery and disposal of the old cable, loading, transport and laying of the new 3 x 150 PEX-AL cable, and burial of the new submarine cable using jetting, carried out by the near-coastal vessels S/B Victor and M/S Honte.
EnergiMidt awarded JD-Contractor A/S a contract on 3 March 2015 to replace and relocate a 12 kV submarine transmission cable between Fur and Branden in the Limfjord, providing the island of Fur with a new 3 x 150 PEX-AL 12 kV connection via marine installation instead of the originally planned directional drilling solution.
