Equinor submitted a licence application and associated environmental impact assessment (konsekvensutredning) for the Johan Sverdrup phase 2 power-from-shore solution to NVE, covering additional electricity supply from land to Johan Sverdrup and the other fields on the Utsirahøyden. NVE states that it is processing the concession application and the impact assessment under the Energy Act and planning legislation, and evaluates grid capacity and environmental and societal effects of the proposed onshore and offshore facilities.
