TERNA was named provisional contractor by Greek transmission system operator IPTO in a tender under Phase D of the Cyclades interconnection to develop new high‑voltage substations on the islands of Folegandros and Milos. These 150 kV GIS onshore substations will connect the local island grids to the new submarine AC cables forming the southwest Cyclades link between Santorini, Folegandros, Milos and Serifos and onward to the mainland HETS. TERNA’s scope covers the design, engineering, supply of primary substation equipment and full construction and commissioning of the two substations during the construction phase of the project.
