On 16 April 2006, Mammoet Van Oord, contracted by Centrica Renewable Energy Limited, began an offshore geotechnical investigation for the Lynn and Inner Dowsing offshore wind farms by driving a steel monopile test pile at the Lynn site to assess chalk seabed drivability and gather detailed geotechnical and engineering data to inform foundation design.
