Description
Siemens Energy was selected by Inch Cape in 2022 to design and deliver the project’s offshore and onshore substations for the Inch Cape offshore transmission assets. For the offshore scope, Siemens Energy supplied its Offshore Transformer Module (OTM®) technology for a dual-circuit offshore substation platform (double OTM®) and led overall technical delivery as an EPCI principal contractor, working with fabrication partner Iemants/Smulders at the Newcastle yard. The scope also covered the onshore substation at Cockenzie, East Lothian.
