Installation of two 220 kV, three-core HVAC export cables, each ~85 km offshore route, between the Inch Cape offshore substation platform and Cockenzie landfall.
Enshore Subsea is the export cable installation contractor for the Inch Cape offshore transmission connection. Using the CMOS Installer cable lay vessel from the Port of Blyth, Enshore Subsea installed the first of two 85 km, 220 kV three-phase offshore export cables in three main sections, including offshore pull-ins at the landfall and offshore substation platform and execution of two offshore cable joints supported by the vessel North Sea Giant. Enshore Subsea will also install the second 85 km export cable in a later 2026 campaign, followed by burial of the cables along the route to Cockenzie.
