Description
Enedis operated and maintained the submarine power cable supplying Île-d’Arz from the mainland as part of its responsibility for the electrical networks of several Breton islands. Its role covered ensuring the reliable functioning of the island’s 20 kV HVAC subsea distribution link, including fault location, organisation of repair operations using cable vessels and professional divers, and implementation of temporary emergency generation when required to restore power quickly to island residents.
