An exploratory seabed survey along the planned IJmuiden Ver Gamma Offshore Grid cable corridor was completed, providing detailed seabed and archaeological information that allowed TenneT and its consultants to optimise the export cable route within the corridor and avoid obstacles and archaeological remains by rerouting the cable by several tens of metres where necessary, thereby reducing archaeological impacts and lifecycle costs.
