DELAYED +1yr (Apr 2026): Original projection had offshore HVDC export cable installation for Net op zee IJmuiden Ver Gamma starting in 2026. A TenneT-sourced update via Windpowernl on 16 Feb 2026 for the Maasvlakte connections (IJmuiden Ver Beta, IJmuiden Ver Gamma and Nederwiek 2) now states that installation of the subsea cables is planned to start in 2027, with offshore cable works continuing until 2030. This confirms offshore cable laying will not begin in 2026 and has slipped into 2027, so the date is delayed. --- Offshore laying of the 525 kV HVDC export cables for the IJmuiden Ver Gamma offshore grid is expected to commence in 2026 under NKT’s contract covering the subsea cable systems for IJmuiden Ver Beta, IJmuiden Ver Gamma and Nederwiek 2, with installation activities managed towards completion by 2029.
