Next Geosolutions (NextGeo) was awarded a Prysmian contract to execute marine survey services in offshore and nearshore Dutch waters along the planned export cable routes for the IJmuiden Ver Alpha offshore wind site (and also Nederwiek 1). The scope was stated to include geophysical investigations and UXO surveys to acquire seabed data needed to support the final design phase ahead of subsequent HVDC export cable installation. Operations were scheduled to take place between 2026 and 2027. The announcement stated the two Prysmian awards to NextGeo had a combined value of around EUR 20 million.
