Offshore Site Preparation

DELAYED +5mo (Apr 2026): NextGeo’s July 2025 contract announcements for IJmuiden Ver Alpha and Nederwiek 1 state that export cable route preparation works (boulder removal, PLGR, mattresses, pre-lay survey) will be executed between 2026 and 2027. Offshore route preparation therefore falls within this 2026–2027 window, not necessarily at the very start of 2027; the offshore_site_preparation milestone is kept in 2027 but shifted to mid‑year to better reflect this execution period. --- Prysmian contracted Next Geosolutions (NextGeo) to perform export cable route preparation for the IJmuiden Ver Alpha grid connection, including boulder removal, pre-lay grapnel runs, installation of protective mattresses and a pre-lay survey along the future cable route between the offshore wind area and the onshore grid landing at Sloegebied, with these offshore site preparation activities planned to take place between 2025 and 2027.
