As part of the French approval process for the IFA2 France–England interconnector, a formal public inquiry ("Enquête publique") was held for the project. According to RTE’s IFA2 project page, this statutory consultation period ran from 8 August to 10 September 2016, providing an opportunity for stakeholders and the general public in France, particularly in Basse-Normandie where the interconnection comes ashore, to review the project documentation and submit comments or objections before technical authorisations were issued.
