The French Energy Ministry approved the project's least‑impact onshore cable route for IFA2. National Grid and RTE (as IFA2 developers) received the route approval from the French authority on 15 January 2015, clearing a key regulatory step for the onshore cable alignment in France and enabling subsequent environmental submissions and permitting work for the French onshore works.
