National Grid and RTE confirmed award of the principal EPC contracts for IFA2: ABB for the HVDC converter stations and Prysmian for the HVDC submarine and onshore cables (including the UK HVAC link). The awards concluded the procurement process (preferred bidder stage, final offers and acceptance) and represented the major engineering contract awards required to progress the project into delivery and commissioning activities.
