National Grid and RTE shortlisted and designated preferred bidders for the cable procurement as part of the IFA2 tender process. The shortlisting followed multiple resubmission and evaluation rounds during 2016 and enabled the project partners to progress commercial negotiations with the highest-scoring cable tenderers ahead of final offer submissions and contract award.
