Red Eléctrica de España contracted GEM to begin a pre-lay geophysical route survey between Ibiza and Formentera in December 2019, covering two alternative submarine cable routes of about 27 km each within an 80 m wide corridor and up to 60 m water depth using MBES, SBP, SSS and TVG equipment.
