Prysmian Group’s cable-laying vessel Cable Enterprise began installing the new submarine power interconnection between Ibiza and Formentera, as reported on 9 January. The work involves laying two 132 kV links between the new substation in Formentera and the enlarged Torrent substation in Ibiza for Spanish TSO Red Eléctrica, forming an underwater section of 27.15 km and associated land sections on both islands.
