Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions was contracted by E.ON to design and install a 30km underground 132kV cable connecting the Humber Gateway offshore wind farm to a new onshore substation at Hedon in East Yorkshire, with cabling work planned to begin in summer 2012. This marked the start of onshore construction activities for the export connection between the Easington landfall and the Hedon substation.
