On 24 February 2015, the Humber Gateway Offshore Wind Farm exported its first power to the UK grid, marking the start of electricity generation from the 219 MW project located about 8 km off the East Yorkshire coast and developed by Humber Wind Limited, a subsidiary of E.ON UK.
