In the UK’s Allocation Round 6 CfD auction, announced on 4 September 2024, Hornsea 3 secured an additional CfD for 713 MW (25% of its capacity) that had been released under the permitted reduction rules from its earlier award, at a strike price of £54.23/MWh in 2012 prices, further strengthening the project’s revenue framework.
