By 2017, Hornsea Three had completed site-specific marine geophysical surveys of the offshore cable corridor, including coverage within the Cromer Shoal Chalk Beds Marine Conservation Zone, using bathymetry, sidescan sonar, and sub-bottom profiling to characterise seabed conditions along the route.
