Description
Trelleborg’s applied technologies operation was awarded a contract by Ørsted to supply four integrated NjordGuard cable protection systems for Hornsea Two. The NjordGuard systems were intended to protect inter-array power cables from fatigue, over-bending, and abrasion at the monopile entry point. Design, testing, and manufacture were to be carried out at Trelleborg’s manufacturing facility in the North of England, with project engineering starting immediately and installation activities scheduled for 2021.
