Description
Boskalis was awarded the offshore export cable installation contract for the Hornsea 2 offshore wind farm by Ørsted Wind Power A/S. The contract covered three export cable circuits with a total length of approximately 380 km. Boskalis’ scope included preparation of the offshore export cable route, comprising geophysical survey, boulder clearance, and seabed leveling through dredging, as well as the installation and protection of the export cables. The works included a 300 m horizontal directional drilling crossing the sea defense at Horseshoe Point for landfall. The campaign was planned to start in 2019 and conclude in late 2021.
