In March 2021, the transmission assets of Hornsea One, including the onshore substation at North Killingholme, export cables, offshore reactive compensation systems and three offshore substations, were sold to Diamond Transmission Partners Hornsea One under the UK’s OFTO regime, transferring ownership of the grid connection infrastructure to the OFTO entity while Ørsted retained long-term O&M responsibilities.
