The UK Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, via the Planning Inspectorate’s national infrastructure regime, granted the Development Consent Order (DCO) for the 1.2 GW Hornsea Project One offshore wind farm on 10 December 2014, authorising construction and operation of the project 120 km off the Yorkshire coast.
