Description
Tideway BV (a DEME Group subsidiary) was awarded a design-and-build cable installation contract by DONG Energy for Hornsea Project One’s offshore export cable system. Tideway’s scope included offshore cable laying, engineering, route preparation, pre-trenching, backfilling, boulder removal, cable pull-in to substations, crossing installation, offshore jointing and cable burial/protection. Ørsted later announced completion of export cable installation, stating the offshore export cables totalled 467 km, with additional offshore work carried out using Ocean Yield’s vessel Connector and Tideway’s cable installation vessel Living Stone.
