Description
Under a contract for Siemens with Ørsted as end customer, Semco Maritime installed high- and medium-voltage gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) on the three offshore substations serving Hornsea Project One, which later transferred into the Hornsea 1 OFTO. The scope in 2017–2018 covered installation of 16 x 220 kV GIS bays, 60 x 34 kV GIS bays and associated local control cubicles, delivering the main switching and protection systems for the offshore transmission platforms in the UK sector of the North Sea.
