Description
Semco Maritime designed and built all three offshore substations for the Hornsea One project, which later formed part of the Hornsea 1 OFTO transmission asset set. Acting as an offshore substation specialist, Semco delivered engineering, fabrication and integration of the platforms in collaboration with CS WIND (formerly Bladt Industries). The substations step up the wind farm’s 34 kV array voltage to 220 kV for export to shore, providing the main offshore transmission hubs for the project.
