In February 2015, Ørsted (formerly DONG Energy) took full ownership of the Hornsea offshore wind project, acquiring the remaining equity from the previous partners. This transaction made Ørsted the sole owner of the Hornsea Zone development, including Hornsea Project One and its transmission system that would later be transferred into the Hornsea 1 OFTO regime.
