By 9 October 2018, offshore installation of the Hornsea Project One transmission platforms—reactive compensation station Z01 and the three offshore substations Z11 (West), Z12 (Central) and Z13 (East)—had been completed, with commissioning already at an advanced stage. These offshore platforms form the core offshore substation infrastructure of the Hornsea 1 OFTO, collecting power from the wind farm and feeding it into the export cable system.
