In 2001, JD-Contractor A/S, using its cable laying barge Henry P. Lading, carried out the complete installation of the Horns Rev 1 export cable for the offshore wind farm. The asset is a 170 kV three-core submarine XLPE power export cable, manufactured and delivered under contract to Energinet.dk to connect the 160 MWe Horns Rev I offshore wind farm to the onshore grid.
