In September 2018, TenneT selected the consortium of Van Oord and Hellenic Cables to design, manufacture, and install the 220 kV export cables and the 66 kV interlink cable for the Hollandse Kust (zuid) offshore grid, covering both the Alpha and Beta connections. The scope includes offshore, nearshore and landfall installation, pull‑ins at the Hollandse Kust (zuid) Alpha and Beta platforms, and pull‑ins at the Maasvlakte land station up to the transition joints, thereby providing the export cable system for the HKZ Beta grid connection as well as Alpha.
