As part of the Hollandse Kust (West Beta) export cable EPCI contract awarded by TenneT to Boskalis in consortium with Orient Cables (NBO), Boskalis is mandated to carry out removal of unexploded ordnance from the seabed along the planned export cable route, prior to seabed preparation and cable laying. These UXO clearance activities were described as part of the future project scope in the March 2022 contract announcement, with no specific start date given.
