On 12 February 2021, the Danish Energy Agency and the Danish Environmental Protection Agency opened an early public consultation in the scoping phase for the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) of the plan for the Hesselø Offshore Wind Farm and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the land-based part of the project, including the grid connection via offshore export cables to Gilbjerg Hoved, a potential new high‑voltage station near Pårup, and onshore cables to the Hovegård substation. The consultation period ran from 12 February to 19 March 2021, during which stakeholders were invited to submit ideas on topics and environmental impacts to be assessed.
