On 22 August 2022, the Danish Energy Agency released the report "Hesselø OWF Landfall - Site Investigations For Horizontal Directional Drillings", confirming completion of geotechnical investigations at the Gilbjerg Hoved landfall site to support design of the Hesselø export cable’s horizontal directional drilling shore crossing.
