EPIC works of inner-array grid cables; supply and installation of around 100 km of 66 kV subsea power cables and respective cable protection systems (CPSs) for He Dreiht.
Seaway7 was awarded an EPIC contract by EnBW for the inner-array (inter-array) grid cabling on the He Dreiht offshore wind farm in the German North Sea. Seaway7’s scope comprised engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning of the 66 kV subsea inter-array cable system, including supply and installation of cable protection systems (CPS). The package covered approximately 100 km of 66 kV subsea cables connecting the wind turbines and linking the array to the offshore converter platform connection point (BorWin epsilon) as part of the wind farm’s internal electrical network. Offshore installation works were planned to commence in 2025 and were later reported as completed for the inter-array cabling campaign.
