In April 2017, EnBW secured the development rights for the He Dreiht offshore wind farm in Germany’s first competitive offshore wind tender by submitting a zero‑subsidy bid, winning the auction for the Cluster 7 / He Dreiht site in the German North Sea with a grid connection capacity of 900 MW and planned installation of 64 Vestas 15 MW turbines.
