The He Dreiht offshore wind farm achieved first power on 25 November 2025, when the first Vestas 15 MW turbine generated its inaugural kilowatt-hour of electricity and exported it into the German grid. At this point EnBW had installed 27 of the planned 64 turbines, with internal array cabling already connected to TenneT’s BorWin5 converter platform, enabling initial energisation and the start of commissioning.
