On 23 March 2023, EnBW took the Final Investment Decision on the 960 MW He Dreiht offshore wind farm in the German North Sea, clearing the way for construction of one of Germany’s largest subsidy-free offshore projects with an estimated investment cost of about €2.4 billion, backed in part by €600 million of long-term financing from the European Investment Bank.
